It is our pleasure to invite you to join the 2nd Module of the 3rd Cycle of the European Course in Head and Neck Neuroradiology. The European Course in Head and Neck Neuroradiology (ECHNR) is a comprehensive and advanced level III educational course for radiologists, neuroradiologists and clinical colleagues.

Each module has been designed as a modern, state of the art program covering H&N with 31 lectures and 12 workshops.

Evaluation scores : 95.2 /100 satisfaction for Course Content and 94.2 /100 for the Course overall mirror the high degree of approval by attendees.

Module 2 of the ECHNR includes:

  • Lectures and Workshops targeted to supra- and infrahyoid space anatomy, pathologies of the salivary glands, pharynx, oral cavity and larynx, parapharyngeal and carotid space lesions,
  • Additional topics encompass classification of vascular malformations and hemangiomas, brachial plexus and thoracic outlet anatomy and pathologies, head H&N lymphoma and IgG4 related disease, structural and dynamic MR and CT angiography applications;
  • Focus lectures are targeted on perfusion and diffusion in H&N lesions, head and neck infections, AJCC staging of H&N cancer and the evolving face of post-treatment changes,
  • AI = artificial and applied intelligence bridges the gap between heavy workload and improved and efficient image interpretation and reporting
  • From symptoms to image lectures summarize “what the radiologist should know and report” from a clinical expert`s perspective.

Course objectives:

  • to provide sound knowledge in imaging strategy by both morphological and by advanced techniques
  • to provide competence in image interpretation over a wide range of H&N pathologies including new entities
  • to offer close interaction with renown teachers and clinical experts during lectures and workshops by questions and polls.
  • to obtain a Diploma in Head and Neck Neuroradiology (provided by EBNR)
    following successful participation in the Exam at the end of module 1 and
    2 and by passing a final exam

Registration is now open for module 2 (scheduled May 30 - June 1, 2024 in Ljubljana, Slovenia).
The venue has been changed to Grand Hotel Union with a larger capacity so more participants will be accommodated this year.

The course is planned to take place as an onsite course only. Provided the on-site course is not feasible due to covid government restrictions, the course will be rescheduled as a full online course (no hybrid course).
